A management system for HVAC, plumbing and electrical contractors
Calls come in by phone, dispatching is done on a whiteboard and work orders come back crumpled on Friday. Socle puts the call, the visit and the invoice in one system, with the technician’s screen on their phone.
What this system fixes
- The dispatcher can’t tell where the technicians are without calling them one by one.
- Paper work orders reach the office late, when they arrive at all.
- Photos of the installation stay on the technician’s personal phone.
- Nobody can find the serial number of the unit installed at the client’s three years ago.
- Maintenance visits planned in the contract are forgotten until the client calls.
- Not all the parts used on site get invoiced.
The path of a service call in Socle
The office and the field see the same information at the same time.
Call
The work order is created in the client’s file, with the unit concerned and its history.
Dispatch
The dispatcher places the visit in the right technician’s schedule. It shows up on their phone right away.
Visit
The technician sees the address, follows the planned checklist, takes photos and records the parts used.
Signature
The client signs on the phone. The visit moves to “To invoice”, without waiting for the paper to come back to the office.
Invoice
It picks up the hours and parts from the visit, then goes to Acomba or QuickBooks by export.
Maintenance contracts schedule themselves
For each contract, you enter the units covered and how often the visits happen. Three weeks before each visit, the system creates the work order and places it in the dispatcher’s queue. A list also shows you the contracts that expire in the next two months, so you can renew them on time.
The history of each unit
Each unit installed at a client’s has its own record, with the make, model, serial number, installation date and end of warranty. Every visit made on that unit is attached to it. In HVAC, the record can also show the refrigerant.

The modules for service contractors
Service visits on the technician’s phone, equipment at your clients’ and maintenance contracts. They’re added to the base that is in every system, with clients, quotes and invoices, work orders, scheduling and documents. Timesheets and payment tracking can be added as needed.
We keep only the ones you use, with your types of calls, your checklists and your vocabulary.
Why not American software?
The best-known dispatch software is paid per technician, every month, and is designed for the American market. Socle is paid per business, works in French and keeps your data in Quebec, on a server in your name.
Questions from contractors
Do my technicians have to install an app?
No. The technician’s screen opens in the browser on their phone, like a website. A shortcut can be added to the home screen.
Do I pay for each technician?
No. The plan is the same for the whole business, no matter how many technicians or office staff you have.
Does it replace Acomba or QuickBooks?
No. Your accounting stays where it is. Socle exports the invoices to your accounting software.
Can I bring over my list of clients and equipment?
Yes. We bring over your spreadsheets at the start, so every client and every unit is already in the system on the first day.
How long until it’s in service?
About two weeks for the Blueprint, then six to eight weeks to build. The date is set in the Blueprint.
